We begun our walk early, at 5.30am, as we wished to get to the Wineglass Bay Lookout for dawn to beat the predicted crowds.
I felt compact and unimportant inside the shadows of mother character’s creation – pink granite mountains shrouded in mist, pink-tinged rocks getting splashed by the most fantastic blue ocean I’d ever found, and white sand that was so pure it squeaked as we trekked our way along the shoreline.
